After being called to the Barreau du Quebec in 2001, Annie Emond has pleaded several appeals before the Quebec Court of Appeal and has litigated many jury trials before the Quebec Superior Court. In 2008 she successfully appealed her client’s conviction to the Supreme Court of Canada.
During the course of her practice, Me Emond has also had the occasion to act as a temporary assistant in two files before the International Criminal Court for Rwanda (Cases of Karera  and Gatete ).
In 2011 the Young Bar of Montreal named Me Emond “Attorney of the year in criminal law”. In February of 2009 the Quebec Criminal Defence Lawyers Association (AQAAD) awarded Me Emond with the “Prix de reconnaissance Michel Proulx”, and in May of the same year the Montreal Criminal Defence Lawyers Association (AADM) awarded Me Emond with the “Prix Gabriel Lapointe”.
Without limiting herself, Me Emond’s practice has developed a particular focus on cases involving allegations of economic crime and cybercrime. Since 2014 she has taught extensively on the topic of “Cybercrime, police investigative techniques and law” at the École Polytechnique de Montréal.
